The locations: Rachel’s House & College

• Rachel’s House: when filming in this area the problems that may occur is that we may need permission from her parents to film there. We also need to be aware of family members walking around and what times we can film as we are using the bathroom we need to make sure no one is using it. We choose to do the film at Rachel’s house because most horror films similar to ours such as mirrors and unborn is set around a house. This relates to our genre as it sets a sense of normality/reality then leads to a disruption.
• Location two; College: When filming in college we need to be aware of noise from other students and teachers walking around. We also need to make sure that when filming no one is in the toilet, this will be hard as the doors are always open and there is always people walking in and out. Since we are using the mirror we need to make sure you cannot see the reflection in the mirror and also background noise. We choose to film in college because it relates to our character (student, unemployed). It relates to our genre as it is always venerable girls getting targeted.

Props: Necklace, Phone, Laptop, College bag, Knife.

• Necklace: We choose to use the necklace in our film because it has sentimental value and it is the cause of all the things that is happening to our character.
• We used a phone in our film because it is what most teenagers have and it is a way of communication. It also a convention of our chosen movie as movies of this genre is rated 15 or 18 most 16 and 18 years olds have a mobile phone.
• A Laptop and college bag is used in our film because it represents the fact that she is a student.
• A knife is used in our film as it is one of our conventions for our genre. (Supernatural horror).

Costumes, hair, make up

• As our character is a college student she is going to dress casual, her hair will be down and she will wear makeup. Her hair will be down as this may suggest she is vulnerable.

Lighting:

• The lighting used in our film will be natural as it will be filmed during the day time. When filming in the house we will used standards light sources in and around the house.
